National Living Wage & National Minimum Wage Rates

On 25 November 2020, the Chancellor Rishi Sunak in his Spending Review speech confirmed that the Government has accepted in full the recommendations of the Low Pay Commission to increase the National Living Wage rate by 2.2% to £8.91 per hour.  Furthermore, the NLW rate will be extended to aged 23 and over and he will increase the National Minimum Wage (NMW) rates as well.

The NLW rate currently applies to those aged 25 and over.  The NLW and NMW rates are reviewed each year and where applicable increased on 1 April.
