On Monday 9th November 2020, the Living Wage Foundation announced the new rates for 2020/21. Employers who have joined the Living Wage scheme should implement the rise as soon as possible and within 6 months. All employees should receive the new rate by 9th May 2021.
The new rates are as follows and apply to those aged 18 and over:
- London Living Wage £10.85 per hour
- UK Living Wage £9.50 per hour
There are nearly 7,000 UK businesses that have joined this scheme and over 250,000 employees have benefited from the Living Wage.
